Aperi Village

Only eight kilometers from Pigadia town, Aperi used to be the island’s capital from 1700 to 1892 while the first high school on the island was built here in 1932. Currently the village is the seat of the Bishop and the approximately 400 residents, are engaged in agriculture and tourism. Worth renting a car and following the village paths visitors can reach the beautiful beaches of Ahata and Kira Panagia where someone can swim in crystal waters and relax enjoying sun and nature.
